How Bees Make Beeswax And What Are The Uses Of It

Beeswax is produced by bees in their abdomen with the help of a special wax producing gland. This gland converts the sugar of honey into wax and stores it inside the abdomen. The size of the abdomen depends on the age of the worker bees. Initially, the wax is colorless and becomes yellow or brown when mixed with pollen, pollen oils, and propolis. The wax is formed into scales and is used to form cells to store honey and to protect larval inside the beehive. Beeswax is used to structure the hive and give perfect hexagon shape to the honeycomb. Beeswax is edible and is used for many things such as a lubricant, plastic, polish, etc.  

Beeswax can be easily mixed with other substances. It has a multipurpose compound and becomes pliable at 90° F-95° F (32° C-35° C).

Or, to create a proper candle, you can melt the beeswax and pour it into the mold. Let it sit to cool and you will get a solid and long-lasting candle.

Lip balms:

DIY lip balms can be easily made with beeswax. Lip balms are the basic need of every house and instead of wasting money on them, you can easily create one at home with your favorite oil flavors. To give lubrication: 

It can be used as a lubricating agent to solve common daily problems. Like, the zipper issue can easily be solved by rubbing some beeswax on the teeth of the zipper. To solve the wooden drawer issue, just rub beeswax on the runner of the bottom of the drawer and the lubrication of beeswax will allow the drawers to slide easily.
